“The Fixed Rate Plus loan allows for downpayment funds of three (3) or five (5) percent of the first mortgage loan but will include a second mortgage at 0% interest rate, due-on-sale or satisfaction, no payments, and no additional fees.”
Governor’s House Program
“South Dakota Housing’s hallmark program, the Governor’s House, offers this very feeling—a low-maintenance dwelling that’s attractive, reasonably sized and budget-friendly for those who are income-qualified. There are two- and three-bedroom varieties of Governor’s House properties—the two-bedroom style currently costs $71,400*, while the three-bedroom runs $85,400*.”
Closing Cost Assistance

Single Family Housing Direct Home Loans
“Also known as the Section 502 Direct Loan Program, this program assists low- and very-low-income applicants obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing in eligible rural areas by providing payment assistance to increase an applicant’s repayment ability. Payment assistance is a type of subsidy that reduces the mortgage payment for a short time.”
