Homebuyer Down Payment and/or Closing Cost Assistance
“OHFA Homebuyer Down Payment and/or Closing Cost Assistance helps make buying a home possible. OHFA offers 3.5% of the total loan amount for your home purchase, reducing out-of-pocket costs.”
Loans for Teachers, First Responders, State Employees
“If you work as a Teacher, Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter, or State Employee, you may be eligible for a special interest rate.”
First-Time Homebuyer Program
“Financial assistance is provided based on need but is limited to $14,999.99 per household, as long as there is funding available. For any financial assistance provided, 50% is in the form of a repayable loan and 50% is in the form of a forgivable loan provided that the homebuyer owns and occupies the home as their primary residence.”
Homebuyer Assistance Program
“The Homebuyer Assistance Program promotes homeownership opportunities for income-eligible first-time home buyers who purchase homes in Midwest City. The program pays up to $5000.00 towards closing costs, down payment, and principal reduction.”
Homebuyer Assistance Program
“Our First Time Homebuyer Program is designed to inform and educate potential homeowners about home buying and homeownership issues. Our program will help you address your credit report issues, learn to budget for housing expenses, and shop for lenders. Down payment / closing cost assistance up to 5% of purchase price.”
REI Down Payment Assistance
“REI Oklahoma partners with mortgage lenders to provide down payment/closing cost assistance and first mortgage financing to eligible borrowers in the state of Oklahoma.”
Down Payment and/or Closing Cost Assistance Grant
“A one-time grant of up to $3,000 is available to help Chickasaw citizens with down payment and/or closing costs on the purchase or rate/term refinance of a primary residence.”
Homebuyer Assistance Program
“To decrease the barriers preventing low to moderate-income individuals and families from owning a home in Edmond, the Homebuyer Assistance Program will provide qualified applicants with assistance for the down payment and closing costs up to $14,999. The home must be located within the City Limits of the City of Edmond and be for owner-occupancy only.”
Down Payment Closing Cost Assistance
“The Applicant must be a Native American member/citizen/Freemen, or a member of a Native American Family. Each household is limited to a maximum of ten percent of the total purchase price of the Dwelling Unit (including closing costs), or a total of $10,000.00 in Program assistance, whichever amount is less.”
Lease With Option to Purchase Program
“When participating in the Lease with Option to Purchase Program the home buyer enters into a lease agreement with the Department of Housing and agrees to meet all financial and maintenance obligations as stated in the lease. Upon meeting all obligations for a period of twenty-five years, as required by the Lease With Option to Purchase agreement, the home becomes sole property of the home buyer.”
Mortgage Down Payment and Closing Costs Program
“The Mortgage Down Payment and Closing Costs Program helps Native American families become first-time homeowners. Because of the high cost of obtaining a mortgage loan many Native American families find it difficult to become homeowners. The Mortgage Assistance Program helps eligible families meet this problem by helping with grant assistance for down payment and closing costs.”
Mortgage Assistance Program
“The Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) helps eligible Cherokee Nation citizens become homeowners by providing up to $20,000 in down payment assistance and individualized credit coaching to assist families with building or repairing credit and reaching personal financial goals. Down payment assistance may be used to purchase an existing home or construct a new one.”
New Construction Homeownership Program
“The New Construction Homeownership Program is a lease to own program created to provide a path to homeownership for eligible Cherokee citizens. Applicants must own land or have access to land that can be donated to the Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation for the purpose of home construction.”
HomePath Homebuyer Program
“Neighborhood Housing Services Oklahoma has partnered with WEOKIE Federal Credit Union a create a new First-Time Buyer Program. This program is lender-specific, meaning you must qualify for a first mortgage through WEOKIE Federal Credit Union.
Homebuyer Assistance Programs
“Our Homebuyer Assistance programs provide down payment and closing cost assistance (DPA) to income-eligible individuals and families. We have two DPA programs available that cover two separate areas:
Down Payment/Closing Cost Assistance
“Assist tribal members with a second mortgage to help with the costs associated with the purchase of a home, if allowed by the client’s specific loan program and participating lender guidelines.”
Homebuyers Assistance Program
“The program provides financial assistance of up to $5,000 for down payment and/or closing costs to qualified low to moderate income homebuyers, to low to moderate income homeowners for specific repairs, or to first time homebuyers who are purchasing a home within Stillwater’s city limits.”
Down Payment Assistance
“These programs are available to individuals and families for new construction as well as existing homes. Funds are used to cover or add to your down payment and associated closing costs. The current maximum assistance available is 5% of the purchase price with a maximum of $5,000. The cities and counties in which these funds are available varies so please contact CARD housing department for current availability.”
Homeownership Opportunity Program
“Oklahoma City occasionally has vacant, single-family houses in need of rehabilitation that would make good homes for families who can afford the rehabilitation. Saving these properties can also strengthen neighborhoods. The Homeownership Opportunity Program allows qualified applicants to buy houses for the price of rehabilitation through low-interest loans.”
Down Payment Assistance Programs
“The City provides down payment and closing costs assistance (DPA) to income-eligible families and individuals. The HOME program does not have a first-time homebuyer requirement; however, the assistance is only available for homes purchased within the program boundaries. The assistance provided is based on the prospective buyer’s need of up to $15,000.00.”

Homeownership Set-aside Program (HSP)
“The Homeownership Set-aside Program (HSP) provides down payment, closing cost and repair assistance to first-time homebuyers earning at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for households purchasing or constructing homes in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma. The HSP is provided to households as a forgivable grant with a five-year retention period.”
Single Family Housing Direct Home Loans
“Also known as the Section 502 Direct Loan Program, this program assists low- and very-low-income applicants obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing in eligible rural areas by providing payment assistance to increase an applicant’s repayment ability. Payment assistance is a type of subsidy that reduces the mortgage payment for a short time.”
